Promptu

I designed Promptu during the pandemic as a student project exploring intermittent communication reminders. But when the collective brain fog lifted, I found something more universal at the core of the concept. It’s not just long-distance friends and old co-workers that deserve quarterly check-ins. There are countless humdrum chores and could-be habits that resist scheduling are too easy to fade.

Maybe it’s sharpening knives, cleaning gutters, or changing air filters. These all get filed under “whenever I get to it,” because the reality is they don’t have a hard deadline, and there’s no proper interface for tasks this fluid.

While most productivity apps feel like homework, Promptu is a tutor — or a friend who lets you copy their work. No judgement.
